Lakewood Ranch, Harvest Methodist Church “It’s Gonna Be A Good Day”
Please join us for a family day of fun. This is a 5K Walk (3 miles) and no bicycles are permitted. Strollers and wagons are welcome.
In May of 2006, four-year-old Payton Makenna Wright, daughter of Holly and Patrick Wright, was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called Medulloepithelioma. Throughout the year, she underwent heavy doses of chemotherapy and radiation. The chemotherapy regimen that is given to children is 20 to 30 years old. She became paralyzed in August 2006 due to the tumor compressing her spine. It was a long and difficult road for Payton and her family but, nothing was as difficult as when their daughter passed away on May 29, 2007. She had just celebrated her 5th birthday.
The funds raised through the For Pete’s Sake Foundation in Payton’s name will be distributed to organizations that have graciously helped Payton throughout this past year. We also intend on helping other families who are battling this terrible disease. The Wright’s, their family and friends appreciate your continued support.
As Payton stated at the beginning of her treatments… It’s gonna be a good day!
During and after the walk there will be food, games and raffles.

Registration fee includes t-shirt to be picked up on the day of the event.
When you register, please note the names of the adults and children participating and choose a t-shirt size for each.
